Getting to Know Metrc in Ohio

In the state of Ohio, the Department of Commerce regulates all businesses involved in the production and sale of cannabis products. This includes cultivators and dispensaries. In 2016, the Medical Marijuana Control Program was created to oversee marijuana cultivation and distribution throughout the state. To help facilitate compliance with state regulations, the program has chosen Metrc to track all marijuana legally grown in the state of Ohio. From September 8, 2018 onwards, Metrc use has been mandatory for all cannabis licensees.
