Getting to Know Metrc in Missouri

Medical marijuana was legalized in the state of Missouri In November 2018. The Medical Marijuana Regulatory Program (MMRP) granted The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) the authority to regulate medical cannabis. To that end, Missouri has chosen Metrc as their track and trace program throughout the state.

Possession, cultivation and licensed retail sale of cannabis for adults 21 and over was legalized on November 8, 2022 by Amendment 3, which is currently not in effect.

Amendment 3  allows adults to possess up to three ounces of marijuana. Also, citizens may  cultivate up to six flowering plants at home, along with six immature plants. Additionally six plants under 14 inches may be cultivated. These plants may not be sold, and must be for personal use only.
